Mr. Sims focuses his practice on patent application preparation and prosecution for mechanical, and software systems. He also assists clients in federally registering their trademarks. Mr. Sims functioned as the Chief Information Office at Young Basile during his first year with the firm. As the Chief Information Officer Mr. Sims worked towards increasing the firm’s security posture and migrating the firm’s infrastructure towards the cloud.
Industry Experience
Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Sims worked as a Software Engineer, Software Architect, and Chief Technology Officer for a software development company. During this time Mr. Sims worked to design, develop, manage, and oversee proprietary software for clients within the Automotive Financing, Manufacturing, Personal Banking, and Professional Services industry. Additionally, Mr. Sims has overseen the successful completion of annual security audits from several high-profile clients within the Automotive Financing, Banking and Professional Services industry.
