Mr. Schonberger concentrates his practice on patent prosecution in the software field, including image and video compression, video transcoding, cloud computing systems, machine learning models, wearable devices, and Internet of Things technologies. He provides strategic counseling on prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has significant experience with U.S. patent subject-matter eligibility, particularly for software technologies. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Schonberger worked for a leading aerospace company developing simulation software. He received his J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law in 2012 and his B.S. in Computer Science from Michigan State University in 2009.

Mr. Woodworth is a strategic advisor to corporate clients on all issues across the business lifecycle. Mr. Woodworth co-chairs the firm’s dental service organization (DSO) service group, which has completed dozens of dental practice acquisitions nationwide. When litigation is inevitable, Mr. Woodworth tenaciously represents clients in court, having litigated contract disputes, patent infringement matters, trade secret misappropriation matters, and employment disputes across the country. He has been named a Michigan Super Lawyer from 2018-2025. Prior to practicing law, Mr. Maskeri had over ten years of experience in life sciences, including roles at Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co., and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is listed in the IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists (2023-2025) and has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star. He received his J.D. from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2008.

Dr. Rohlicek is a Principal in the firm’s Boston office with a 50-year track record in technology spanning mathematics and software algorithms, as well as applications of machine learning, probability theory, and signal processing. His ability to quickly grasp inventors’ technologies and shape conceptual inventions into effective patent strategies is trusted by the most selective R&D groups in early-stage and mature companies, as well as academic institutions. Prior to joining Young Basile, Dr. Rohlicek practiced for 18 years at Occhiuti & Rohlicek LLP, which he founded with other partners from Fish & Richardson P.C. Following his Ph.D. at MIT, he was a scientist for a decade working on speech and natural language technologies, ultimately serving as Vice President of R&D and Vice President of Engineering at two Boston-area companies. He holds a Ph.D., M.S., and S.B. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.

Mr. Woelke is responsible for portfolio management and patent preparation and prosecution of design and utility applications across a wide range of technologies, including industrial chemicals, medical devices, automotive systems, electrochemistry, materials science, and consumer electronics. His undergraduate research focused on halogen exchange mechanisms, and his senior thesis examined environmental impacts at the Velsicol Chemical Corp. Superfund Site.
