Mr. Chess focuses his practice on patent application preparation and prosecution for mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Mr. Chess also has experience in patent portfolio analysis and strategic intellectual property counseling.
Industry Experience
Before attending law school, Mr. Chess spent over two years as a mechanical engineer where he acquired extensive experience in automotive component design and regulation.

Professional Activities
Mr. Chess participated in the University of Detroit Mercy International Intellectual Property Clinic as an Advanced Student Attorney and competed in the USPTO Patent Application Drafting Competition. During law school, Mr. Chess worked as a law clerk for Young Basile.
