Mr. Kanalakis is a registered patent attorney with experience helping clients in all aspects of intellectual property law. He has extensive experience in patent prosecution, including assisting large companies, universities, and start-ups to build high-quality patent portfolios in electrical, mechanical, software, and computer technologies. Scott has been involved in patent litigations, patent infringement investigations, clearance of products, and licensing negotiations. He also has significant experience in trademarks, licensing, tech contracts, and due diligence matters.
Mr. Kanalakis began his professional career at Intel Corp. where he served as a design engineer and applications engineer. Scott designed multiple desktop computer platforms and contributed to the successful design and launch of Intel’s first 64-bit processor.
He graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law where he earned a High-Tech Law Certificate. Following graduation, he was selected to serve as a commissioned officer and JAG attorney in the U.S. Navy. He went on to gain significant patent experience as an intellectual property attorney with Howrey and Hogan Lovells. His extensive intellectual property law, engineering, and government background combine to bring a wide array of skills to his legal practice.
