Denise M. Glassmeyer, a shareholder in the firm’s patent practice group, and Stacie N. Farina, an associate in the patent practice group were recognized as winners of the Acquisition International Intellectual Property Awards.

Ms. Glassmeyer concentrates her practice in patent and trademark prosecution and in patent evaluation and investigation, with a focus on chemicals, materials and life sciences. She manages the global IP portfolios for companies ranging from start-ups to large multi-national concerns. In this capacity, she oversees complex and contested non-US prosecution in Asia, Europe and Canada, including oppositions. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Glassmeyer was an organic chemist with focus on quantitative analysis, quality assurance and environmental monitoring and remediation. She has significant experience in the business and logistical issues surrounding the transportation, manufacture and processing of hazardous materials. Ms. Glassmeyer leads the firm’s diversity initiative, and she has previously been recognized for her professional achievements and contributions to the bar.

Ms. Farina focuses her practice on patent preparation and prosecution for domestic and international clients in a range of technologies including computer software, automotive mechanical systems, alternative fuels, automotive control systems and mobile devices. She also provides client counseling, generates patentability and infringement opinions and provides portfolio valuation and landscapes by leveraging patent analytical tools. Ms. Farina has over a decade of engineering experience in the areas of vehicle aerodynamics, automotive component design, military communication and control systems, vehicle racing and vehicle electronics. She also has industry experience in contract negotiations, purchasing, component cost optimization and international product launch coordination.
