Mr. Nwaesei concentrates his practice on patent prosecution with a focus on the computer software and hardware fields, including the areas of data processing, storage management, video encoding, network traffic management and mobile technology. He counsels clients in the prosecution of patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and drafts non-provisional, provisional and PCT applications as well as responding to Office actions. Mr. Nwaesei practices in other areas of intellectual property law as well, including patent due diligence and patentability searching. He works with prominent, global organizations as well as high-growth companies.
Prior to joining Young Basile, Mr. Nwaesei was an associate at LeClairRyan where his practice was focused primarily on patent prosecution in the electrical, mechanical, optical and software technology areas. Before attending law school, Mr. Nwaesei competed internationally as a member of the Canadian national rowing team.
