Mr. Pourmirzaie focuses his practice on patent preparation, prosecution and counseling for domestic and international clients.  He also focuses his practice on technology licensing, transactional matters and corporate matters for emerging companies. He has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of applications across a wide range of technologies including computer software, databases, telecommunications, IT, semiconductors, storage devices, automotive technologies, MEMS, sensors, IoT, healthtech, medical devices and wearable devices.  Prior to joining Young Basile, Mr. Pourmirzaie was an associate for 6 years at Sawyer Law Group, PC, a nationally recognized IP boutique firm based in Palo Alto, CA.

 

Industry Experience

Mr. Pourmirzaie has experience as an entrepreneur having previously co-founded two venture backed startups; one in software and the other in implantable medical devices.  He serves as an entrepreneurial advisor to numerous emerging companies associated with leading incubators including Y Combinator, Plug & Play Tech Center, Highway1, Rock Health, Harvard i-lab and Wharton VIP.
